our Story

A soulful approach to an ancient practice.

Bloom Yoga is located in the East Bay, in the charming Estudillo Estates neighborhood of San Leandro. We are a woman-owned studio committed to providing a safe, beautiful, and welcoming space for all bodies to grow and connect. We offer a variety of classes to support all aspects of your physical and emotional wellbeing. Free parking is easy and plentiful on our main and side streets. We value and nurture community connection because we know how important strong social ties are for mental health. In a hyper-busy, technology-dominant, and at times hectic world —we want to be your soft landing.

Rooted in the mindful and grounding principles of yoga, we have been very intentional about building a space that fosters strength, growth, and restoration. Bathed with lots of natural light, our studio is thoughtfully and intentionally designed to be calming, warm, and restorative. Heavily inspired by minimalist Scandinavian and Japanese design, we have incorporated natural & organic elements like linen, wood, rattan, stone, leather, jute, clay, and limestone to highlight our connection with nature. There is always a gorgeous and ever-changing flower arrangement at the front desk to welcome you. Our studio walls are painted with Color Atelier’s all-natural limewash paint (made from crushed limestone) - a breathable, eco-friendly, non-toxic, bacteria & mold-resistant alternative to VOC latex paint. We only use natural essential oils and Castile soap to clean the studio and disinfect our props. We invite you to come take a class and experience both our beautiful surroundings and welcoming community energy.

Bloom is also available for private rentals. Please send your inquiry below or email hello@letsbloomyoga.com for more information.

What’s Important Around Here

Restoration

You’re busy, they’re busy, we’re all so, so busy. More than ever, we need rest. The beauty of yoga is how it can energize and restore, calm and invigorate, strengthen and soften - all at the same time.

Self-Connection

Our classes and our studio are designed to invite introspection. When we start to focus inward we can really tune into our authentic needs, desires, and truth - things that are often drowned out by the constant buzz of modern living.

Community

Here at Bloom, we know each other’s names. Our teachers are also our neighbors. We hug, we greet, we listen, we laugh. Yoga connects you to a supportive community. And we can’t wait to welcome you into ours.

Inclusivity

Yoga by nature is inclusive, but that can often get lost in the shuffle. Through our varied range of classes, programs, events, and staff, we promote, honor, and prioritize inclusivity because we value the unique journey and experiences each one of us brings to the table. The beauty of the Bay Area is our diversity - and our studio is a remarkable reflection of that.

Strength

Our bodies are our temples. Aging is inevitable - but how we age is fully within our control. At Bloom, we know that yoga is absolutely essential for healthy aging and function #sciencesays. Through a regular yoga practice our bodies build strength - strength to do all the daily activities we often take for granted well into our future years. The inner strength you get from a regular, disciplined practice? Just a really nice bonus.

Flexibility

In our physical bodies, flexibility is crucial to prevent injuries. You’re never more aware of how often you reach, bend, turn, stoop, or pivot throughout your day than when you can no longer do so with ease.  In yogic philosophy, there’s a story of the unassuming bamboo. Unlike the bigger, taller, immoveable trees, the bamboo bends in the wind, and doesn’t snap – still standing among the rigid, broken trees in the storm’s aftermath. Moral of the story: bend. don’t break.
